On the 3rd Ryan, Maddi, and myself went to Mesa Falls. Ryan had a couple days off so we took advantage of it. It was beautiful up there and we enjoyed spending time together. Then for the 4th we had a very eventful day. We staked out our spots for the parade at 9am, watched the parade, then around noon went over to Porter Park for some activities. Maddi had her first carousel ride there! After that we went out to my in-laws for hamburgers and water games for the kids to cool off- it was very hot! Then at 7pm we went to the fairgrounds for a good 'ol Rodeo!! I hadn't been to one for years and we had a blast. We were all a little sick of the heat, especially the little ones, but once it cooled down we enjoyed ourselves a lot. After the rodeo they had a fireworks show which we stayed and watched. You would think our night ended there, but no way...we're party animals!! We went back out to my in-laws and let off fireworks with the kids and let them play with sparklers...we even had a few artillery shells ourselves. Shhhhh. Overall it was a great day, but perhaps a little long...oh well- we won't forget it. :)
