Elders Quorum Presidency

Well, today Ryan and I had an interview with the Stake Presidency only to find out that Ryan was being called as 2nd counselor in the Elders Quorum Presidency. I must admit that it came as quite the surprise since he has been working with the new scouts and getting their program running smoothly. I was relieved when they said the calling was for Ryan, but then became overwhelmed with emotions as I heard what the calling was. Our life is already so busy with Ryan finishing up his student teaching and then working at nights. I don't really see him much until Saturday evenings every week. However, despite the sure challenges ahead I know our lives will be blessed through his service in this calling. It will give us a chance to grow and to become closer to one another. One day at a time is what we always tell each other. He will be working with some great guys in the ward, and it will be fun to become closer to their families. All the families are actually quite young and so we will all get to grow together. :)
