It's April's fault!

Okay so April tagged me and I'll admit at first I wasn't going to do this, but then I thought...ahhh what the heck!

7 Random Facts about myself:

1. I love to dance! I started dance lessons at the age of 4 and never stopped until 21. Then I got married, life got busy, then I had a kid and well you know... I have thought about getting back into it and would love to teach someday. It is definitely still in my blood...when I watch old videos I just ache to be dancing again. There is nothing more enjoyable, relaxing, and exciting to me.

2. I grew up with all girls. Having three younger sisters has definitely shaped me into who I am today. Boys are very much a foreign species to me...while I always had "guy friends" growing up I still don't know much about them. Buying presents for Ryan has proven to be challenging...you can't fall back on the good old lotion present. :) If I ever have the chance to raise a boy it will be an adventure.

3. School is very important to me. My parents always instilled in me the importance of doing well in school and getting as much education as possible. I always knew I would graduate from college. Later in life when I am able I want to get a Masters in Clinical Psychology and then a Ph.D in Marriage & Family Therapy. It has always been a goal/dream of mine.

4. I love friends! Perhaps I am "needy" in this way, but I love having friends and hanging out all the time. I grew up watching my parents throw parties and make life-long friends they still have. I want that in my life too. It's been great meeting people (like April) that I can enjoy this great time of life with.

5. Birthdays are a big deal! Birthdays should always be celebrated if you ask me. There's not a better excuse to have a party. I can't wait for Maddi's birthdays, especially this first one. It will be an awesome party- just you wait!

6. I lived in Europe for 4 months. I lived in Austria for a Study Abroad through BYU my junior year of college. It was the best experience of my life. I studied German while there. I was able to travel to Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovenia. I also saw Croatia from across the water in Slovenia. :) Europe is beautiful, I love many aspects of the culture, and will make it back someday with Ryan.

7. I love my life! This might seem like a funny random fact, but I really do. Although I have faced my share of trials throughout the years I couldn't have been more blessed. I have seen the Lord's hand in my life in so many ways, I can't even explain them all. No matter how tough life has gotten I have always been able to find ways to make things work, and I'm just grateful for all I have experienced.

I'm not a big fan of the tagging business either but yay!, you did it. I'm really glad we're friends too (another month and a 1/2 and we will reunite!)....and I love your attitude on life!
