Our little smarty pants

Okay, so our little girl is completely growing up! All you veteran moms will probably laugh at me, but hey she's our first and we all get the privalege of thinking our kids are the cutest and smartest. :) Here's a picture of Maddi sporting her newest favorite accessory. Among her desire for fashion (ha ha) she has also started to say a few words. She's been saying "mama" and "dada" for a while, but she has started to say "hi" and "bye" too. It is seriously so cute. She'll poke her head around the corner and say "hi" in her cute little voice. A not so good thing is she has discovered the power of tears. (well, I don't know if thats really a new thing) She'll cover her face and cry, then peek to see if you're doing what she wants you to. Man, what am I going to do when she's two! Then today she totally amazed me. I wiped her nose back in our bedroom and then she took the kleenex so I told her to go throw it in the garbage can. She took off so I watched to see where she would drop it. To my surprise she actually walked all the way into the kitchen and put it in the garbage!!!! I couldn't believe it. She will get her sippy and binky when you tell her to get them, but I didn't think she would understand what I was saying when I told her to go to the garbage. What a smart girl we've got. :) They just grow up way too fast!
