Well, its hard to believe, but Maddi turned 2 on Saturday! We sure do love this kid and all the fun we have with her. She's good at whining and talking back, but man when she's in a good mood the kid can have you rolling! We just had a family party this year and kept it pretty low key, but we had fun with the cake! We decided to do a fish bowl since she likes fish and the cake looked neat. I must say I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. :) I like making a fun cake so hopefully I can keep this up through the years!
Maddi loved when we sang Happy Birthday to her. She started doing a little dance with her arms, it was really cute!
Grandpa Evans kept telling her, "go for a bigger bite!"

Thank you especially to Jacque for the cute gingerbread house she made for Maddi's present (I'll get a pic up later) and to Sydney for the great present she sent. Maddi loved it-she's played with the Play Dough everyday. Don't worry mom & dad...I know you'll have a great present for her this weekend when we come over. :)

Ok, that cake is AMAZING! Where did you get all the cake talent? What a darling little 2 year old. I'm glad she liked the present too!
It turned out awesome!! I bet Maddi loved it too. I remember when she was just a newborn and she loved to sit and watch the fish tanks. It always kept her happy. Good job on the cake.

Your cake looks awesome. Props to you. I remember spending so much time making a sponge bob cake for Ryder's 1st birthday and he wouldn't even touch it. I think it scared him it was pretty funny. What kid doesn't like to dig into something messy in front of them? That was Ryder at 1.
