Brynnley Rose Evans
We finally got to meet our little girl on Wednesday at 1:40 pm. She weighed in at 6 lbs. 9 oz and only 18 3/4" long! I had assumed that she would be smaller than Maddi, but because of her lenght she actually looked kind of chubby! Everything went well with the delivery, but lets just say I felt MUCH more this time. Something wasn't right with my epidural and I had some extreme back labor that I was pretty sure would kill me at the time. I tried to handle it well, but I'm afraid it came on very fast and I had no time to prepare... Once my water broke things went very quickly and I went from an 8 to having her in about 30 minutes. My legs were completely numb, and I mean completely, because they had given me an extra dose of the epidural right before I started pushing trying to help with the pain. Unfortunately it did nothing but render my lower half completely useless. If you've never exprienced the sensation of watching your leg being moved and knowing its your leg, but having no feeling of its movement you're missing out. :) Well, not really, but its a very weird thing to experience. Getting me out of bed was pretty hilarious. Recovery has been great this go around though so that has been nice. I did get some random eye infection right after though, but luckily my doctor was able to prescribe me an eye drop that finally cleared it up.

Maddi LOVES her little sister and has been so good with her. Anytime Brynnley cries Maddi tells me to stop hurting her baby. hahaha
Coming home from the hospital
Ryan and Brynnley catching up on some sleep at home.
An update on Brynnley: Since leaving the hospital she has continued to lose weight, almost a full pound as of Sunday where she weighed only 5 lbs. 11 oz. She also has jaundice and so we have been making daily trips to have her levels checked. We go in again tomorrow and we are hoping for good news. Because of the jaundice she has maybe 1 wet diaper a day and no poopy diapers since Thursday. I'm really hoping my little girl starts to turn around since breastfeeding is actually working this time and I may have to start giving bottles to help with the jaundice. Adjusting to a newborn is getting easier, but I look forward to getting into a schedule. Overall, things are great and we are so happy! Our sweet little baby has finally made it into our family and it is truly a sweet blessing in our life. There is nothing in the world like a new little spirit coming into your home.

Congrats! What a sweet family you have! Hope all goes well and Brynnley continues to grow and be healthy!
Congratulations! I had the same leg experience with the twins...except only my left leg.
I hope everything gets better soon with little Brynnley.
I won't tell anyone about the staged "coming home" photo. Really . . . my lips are sealed.
so cool! and happy for your new little girl! She is so adorable and you look great! I did have that totally numb leg happen to me too. it was unreal to watch my husband and the nurse help me get up for the first time and not feel my leg..really weird. hope your little one catches up with weight and gets past the jaundice.. no fun.. hope we can see each other soon and hang out!
Ahh, what a sweet family. Brynnley is beautiful, congratulations!
She is soooo cute!! Maddi looks so big now! Such a cute family. Hang in there- we'll get through this sleep deprived stage soon! :)
