So, this year in a last minute turn of events we were able to surprise Lindy for her 18th birthday and the weekend of Homecoming. I was really excited to be there for all the festivities, because Lindy is my baby sister. We are 11 years apart so I left for college just before she turned 8 years old. Because of this I have always felt like I missed out on lots of things that a big sister should be a part of. My sisters are my best friends and from the time I went to college I hated missing out on their lives and that hasn't changed at all in the past 10 years. I must say though, that my family does a pretty good job of staying connected. Its probably one of the most important things to us. So, back to Lindy's weekend. :)
Lindy had really been stressing over what to do with her hair. She had finally made an appointment to go get it done at a salon by a friend. However, because my mom knew we were coming she cancelled the appointment, but forgot to tell me. So, the night before I found out I was doing Lindy's hair the next day...and her friend's! So, thanks to Pinterest we found some styles we liked, crossed our fingers, prayed a little, and took the plunge. The final result:
Lindy loved it! Thats all that really matters. I was quite impressed with myself as well. I can't really french braid that well and for this I did a french fish tail braid, which I have NEVER done before. It all worked out though and she looked beautiful! I think Ryan might have been a little impressed with my work-that's saying something.

So, happy 18th birthday Lind! You are an awesome young lady with such an exciting future ahead of you! And I'm glad I get to be a part of it! Love ya!
