We wanted the whole pumpkin patch experience this year, but I've decided that Rexburg is really lame in this department. We had a tough time finding ANYTHING in the area. But, as we were driving we saw a sign and found some pumpkins set up at a house. The kids still had fun running around and looking at them all. It was really cold and windy this day too so it was probably best that it ended up being a quicker outing.
Carving pumpkins is always such an ordeal. I have to really psyche myself up for the mess! :) I let the kids look through stencils online and pick out what they wanted to do. Maddi picked her scary face. And, if you're wondering about her hair, it was "crazy hair day" at school.
Brynnley wanted stars. We couldn't convince her of any other design, so stars it was!
Ryan wasn't feeling in the mood for carving this year and said he was just going to do something simple. Well, 3-4 hours later he finished! haha! He just can't help himself once he gets going. It turned out awesome and it was the talk of all the trick-or-treaters. He got a lot of compliments. :)

Of course Ryan's was awesome, but I actually really liked Brynnley's stars. They especially looked nice all lit up!
