I really got quite a crush on Portland while we were there. It is an absolutely beautiful place. I loved how you could get off the freeway turn a corner and feel like you were in the middle of the forest. It was very cool.
We also came across some of the cutest little neighborhoods. I seriously could have moved into a house there without too much thought. The first one we found was better than this picture shows, but we couldn't find the same neighborhood again.
On our way out of town we took a little scenic highway to see some of the falls along the way. Since I'm actually writing this, oh about 8 months later, I don't remember the name. (I'm sure I could look it up, but I'm not going to) We got out so we could take the quick little walk up the hill to see it. Brynnley had to go to the bathroom so we stopped at the restroom, then as were leaving I realized I left my camera in the stall. I ran back with Kinsley to get the camera and Ryan headed up with the older girls. As I started walking back out it started to sprinkle. I only had a thin little muslin blanket for Kinsley, but figured it had been nice all day so we would be fine. It will only take a minute. By the time I started up the hill the rain came down with a vengeance. There was no turning back though, I didn't have my phone or keys to the car. I had to find Ryan. So we trudged along with my soaking baby. :) Don't worry, I wasn't the only mom unprepared. We hid under some trees until we could rush over and catch a few quick pics, of course while trying to keep the camera dry at the same time. We then rushed back to the car, jumping over puddles, only to realize once we got there that we were all now soaking wet, with all our clothes strategically jam-packed into the trunk of our car, and we were beginning an 11 hour drive home. Sigh. I'm pretty sure "I'm just not sure how well this plan was thought through" (Name that movie) was running through my mind. Needless to say, we started our drive with good memories, soaking wet.

Those falls are beautiful, I wish we would have been able to see them. Good reason to make a trip back..
