We have finally moved into our house! We've been in for almost a week now, and while unpacking is moving much slower than I would like, we are making progress. I won't go into the long story, but closing on this house has been quite the adventure. Time after time we ran into bumps and the date was pushed back costing us more money and more stress. But, thankfully everything worked out and we are officially homeowners. We feel so blessed to be in this house and are very grateful to all those who have helped us prepare for this day and have helped us in the moving process. I wish I had pictures to post today, but my camera cord is still packed and I'm a little unorganized at the moment. :)
I finished painting Maddi's room and it turned out so cute! I can't wait to have all the decorations up. My next painting adventure will be the front room and then our bedroom. Those are just accent walls, so not near the amount of work. We are hoping to buy a couch on Monday- yeah! This will actually be our first piece of furniture that we have bought, other than beds. Oh and the desk from D.I., but does that really count?!?
Our ward here seems very nice and we actually do already know some people which makes the transition a little easier. We miss the 19th ward so much though. They had definitely become a family to us. All in all we are doing great. I also want to let everyone know that we will be doing a housewarming party (even though Ryan thinks its funny) on Saturday, February 21st. Anyone is welcome to stop by. It will be in the evening sometime after 6pm. I will try and call people and let you know, but in case...we'd love to see you! We're excited to really be able to entertain all our friends for once. Wish me luck that the house will be in working order by then! LOL I hope everyone is having a great new year...pictures will be coming soon!

What I would do to be at your housewarming party...to see you, your house, Maddi...so glad you guys are in!
I can't wait to come and see the house and to spend a little time with you guys. Good luck with everything!
Ryan . . . .You should know by now that if there is an excuse to have a party, Mandi will find it. You better get used to it, now that she has a house. We can't wait to see it!
