4th of July fun in Park City

We went to Park City with Ryan's family for the 4th. It was a busy weekend with lots of fun. Rick and April love entertaining their family and especially their grandkids. We all met up in Park City on Friday. They had rented this cute historical house for all of us to stay in. It was really nice and had plenty of room for us to hang out. The girls got to make watch bands. It was awesome! I've got one for most outfits now. These are the ones I made, plus I have two other ones. :)
This is us on the porch swing at the house after church.
Waiting for the parade to start. All the kids had shirts from Grandma & Grandpa and matching hats...they looked really cute all sitting there.

Maddi LOVED the parade. She would dance anytime there was music and she waved at every single group that came by.
This was one of the beautiful sunsets we saw while up there.
The guys (and Kirsten) went out on Saturday to the Alpine Slide and roller coaster there.

On our way up to the fireworks. Maddi was loving all the activities and was quite hyper before the fireworks started.
Me and Ryan before the fireworks. The firewors there were really awesome, but I can't get the stupid video to download so maybe I'll post it later...I seriously love fireworks. I am always amazed by them.
April made all the kids these adorable aprons! They wore them while they made their own personal pizzas on Sunday. Maddi was taking a nap though. They also got to decorate cookies, make necklaces, decorate hats, bedazzle shirts....the list goes on. They were spoiled.

On Monday we packed up and went to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City. It was lots of fun, but sooo hot! It was a long day for the kids.

Riding the train there. The ride was only 3 1/2 miutes long...we timed it. What a rip off...even Maddi was ticked when we had to get off. :)
Thanks Rick & April for a great weekend! Everything turned out great and we all had a blast. And, of course my 4th of July post wouldn't be complete without taking a few seconds to say how much I love this country. Despite what is happening within the government this country is such a blessing. I know the founding fathers truly were inspired when they created the constitution and I am so grateful that I live here and enjoy the freedoms I have. I know that I don't always appreciate what I truly have. Thats what I love about the 4th...it always makes me step back and remember how much I love this country! God bless the USA!!!!!

Ok, you guys look like you're having too much fun than is allowed! ;) Can I give Maddi a squeeze please? She's so stinkin' cute.
