Tis the Season

Tis the season to get sick. For memory purposes I would like to remember this wonderful week. Why? Well, you know, someday I will look back on it and laugh and think, "yep, those were the days..." So the week started out with me getting a cold. Sucks, but not the end of the world. By Wednesday my little baby girl got it too though. Her poor little nose holds as much mucus as mine does I'm pretty sure. :( So, with a somewhat cranky baby (I am too when I can't breathe) we began preparing for our school Christmas party which included making 100 gift tags, cooking appetizers and a meal for 80 people, and putting together a dessert for them to take home. I luck out on not having to clean and decorate since its at my in-law's house. Someday that will likely be my headache too. Anyways, I was out there late with the kiddos on Wednesday and then back out all day Thursday cooking. I was up a good portion of the night Wednesday with our bug trying to help her sleep as I tried to deal with a massive headache and sinus pressure that would have killed any normal person. haha Some infant Tylenon and Tylenol sinus later we were back to sleep. Thursday was a long day, but all things considered they did really good. Maddi has been such a big girl lately and I could just kiss her! Well, I do. The party turned out great and all the food was edible- success!
Friday I decided to go to the doctor before we got REALLY sick. I got antibiotics for Brynnley and myself and am hoping we feel better before the weekend is over. So, Friday night I had a party planned. I somehow managed to prepare for that with very little stress invovled. It was a cookie exchange party and was so much fun to visit with some friends and exchange yummy treats. After the party Ryan got home with Maddi (they went out on a date) and we prepared for bed. Maddi kept whining about her tummy hurting which I attributed to the fact that she had hardly eaten anything since breakfast. Just as I layed her in bed she threw up, then threw up on the way to the bathroom. So, we took a bath cleaned everything up and made her some chicken noodle soup. Bad idea apparently. She threw that up half way through the bowl. Great. So then we cleaned up again and just went to bed. I'm hoping its a fluke thing and she's not really sick. We'll see once she wakes up.
So, thats where I'm at. Its Saturday now and I plan on relaxing a bit today. I still have lots to do, but I'm taking it easy today. I mean really...we have Christmas next week! So, I hope you all are enjoying your holiday season as much as we are...maybe even a little more. Honestly though, I'm doing fine. You take life one day at a time and enjoy it as it comes. You only get to live today once so you might as well have fun!
