Women's Conference

This year I actually went to Women's Conference with my mom, sister, aunts, and grandma. Carissa and I traded off babysitting the kiddos so one of us could go to a class. It was a little crazy at times juggling it all, but we managed. We did swag bags this year which was a lot of fun! Somehow I managed to not get any pictures of them however. But, we got some fun things to use while we were there and some yummy treats to help keep us awake since we had late nights. :)

The first day was really nice so we spent some time on campus enjoying the warmer weather.

Carissa is such a good sport and let Maddi do her hair one day.

The key point I took away from it this year was from my very first class. It talked about honoring and keeping the covenants we have made. The thing I liked was the idea that we need to remember who we have made covenants with. We can get caught up in our hobbies, having a clean house, cooking a gourmet meal, or spending too much time with friends, extended family, or whatever it may be. He cautioned to remember that we haven't covenanted with them, but we have with our spouse and our children that become a part of that covenant. I just like this because it helped me to remember what is really important in life and I think it is a prinicple that can help us prioritize when we feel that we are being pulled in too many directions.
