Halloween Festivities 2011

I was much more prepared for Halloween this year.  I had learned last year what Halloween actually means with children.  It is not just October 31st, but the entire WEEK!  So, I made sure my schedule was open and prepared myself for the 500 costumes changes.  The first event was preschool, but I wasn't at the party so no pictures.  Then it was dance.  Then it was the ward party.  THEN it was Halloween!  :)  It might be a little, okay maybe a lot, exhausting, but the kids love it!  That makes it all worthwhile.

We were a little bit of lame-o parents this year and didn't carve any pumpkins.  We just painted them.  BUT, to our credit, the kids love doing that and those pumpkins are straight from our garden.  Go us!  They are beautiful pumpkins....what, your pumpkins aren't green?!?!

See the tongue sticking out?  That is serious cocentration right there.

Look at her creating her own colors.  :)
We always have fun dressing up and this year Maddi was totally okay with the face paint.  Previous years...not so much.  Brynnley likewise did great and she even liked wearing her costume!  I got a sweet witch costume this year, but didn't get a very good picture of it.  Oh well, next time.
