The first half of our summer was spent traveling and at family reunions, so once things slowed down a bit we took a few chances to do a few of the more "normal" summer things.
The splash park was on the list. Although my girls never last long here, they still love to go and its a great way to cool off and have some fun!
The week before school started we had the Madison County Fair. I had my Pampered Chef booth again, because I'm a crazy woman. I only worked one full shift though, so it really wasn't too bad and its always fun to see my other vendor friends at the events.
And, of course, there is the carnival. Because it was Madison's 100 year celebration we had a MUCH better carnival this year. The girls were pretty excited. We let them choose two rides (we're a little cheap with a baby on the way).
Of all the different rides this is the one Maddi chose. I was actually worried she'd get up there and freak out, but she didn't!
And then there was Brynnley's choice. She saw this ride and wanted on. Before we could hardly even talk to her about it she was walking through the gate, no concern at all.

Well, we should have known. As soon as that thing went up in the air, pure terror came across her face. She started crying. I felt bad and wished I could rescue her, but at the same time was standing there laughing. The video below is not great, but it gives you an idea.
