Maddi started 1st grade this year. Its crazy how old she's getting. I knew it would be weird to have her gone all day, but it has still taken some getting used to. I feel like I don't have any time with her during the week. I love when the weekend rolls around even more now, because that means I get to have all my kiddos home with me all day! Its changes like this that remind me how precious my time with my children is and how much better I need to be about using that time to teach them the important things in life. I have lots to improve on, but hopefully I'm not too far off track. :)
Maddi has done really well at adjusting to the whole day thing. There's been a few days that she's pretty tired and we had a few emotional days the first week or so. She's been loving that they do experiments in class and she feels pretty grown up to be eating lunch at school. Brynnley, though, has so not liked her being gone so much. The first few days she kept saying we needed to go back and get Maddi. Now, once Maddi is home she doesn't want to leave her side. She hates when Maddi goes to a friends house, or has ballet class. Its time to get the little bug some of her own friends...which we are working on. And, hopefully come January we can get her in an activity as well.
Its tough letting go of your kids as they venture out, but its so worth it. They learn and grow and succeed and you get front row seats. Its a pretty cool deal.

I love Maddi, she'll always be my first grandbaby. (wink wink) Love the picture with her tongue hanging out.
Don't worry Momma, she'll be fine and soon she'll be teaching you a few things.
