For my mom's 50th birthday we planned a big fat surprise party. And, somehow, I think we actually pulled it off! She says she didn't know anything. It seems hard to believe, because we are talking about the lady that guesses every gift she is ever given! It was so much fun to plan the party though, especially when its someone else's money you're spending (thanks dad!). haha
Mom, you are an inspiration. You are a rockstar crossfitter, a skydiving maniac, a pixie cut beauty, and one good lookin grandma! Thanks for making 50 look so good!
We had lots of fun planning all the food and decorations. I got to use my cake skills for the first time on something other than my kids. I was a little nervous, but it turned out awesome!
My dad got her a skydiving gift card. She was pretty shocked and surprised when she opened it!
We were able to have my Aunt Missy and Carissa even come in for the party. It was so much fun to have them there and surprise my mom with that!
These women are such a HUGE part of my life!
And, last but not least, this cute little guy! You just can't leave that smiling face out of a post!

It was hands down the best birthday party ever, probably because I really was surprised. It was surprising how much effort went into it and that Carissa and Malisa made the journey just for me. I felt loved and special, and I must say if you make it to 50 you deserve an epic party. Can't wait for the next 50 year party!
