I would say that this was a pretty epic Christmas year for the Koyle clan. We had a lot of fun! The adventures started out with gingerbread houses. Now, Carissa wasn't going to just buy a kit from the store....that's what lazy people do. :) Instead, she made the gingerbread! And, then came the fun part of designing the house. We left that part up to the guys. I think they did a great job, but then came the baking part. The importance of very straight edges was underestimated, and the taking into account of shrinkage was completely forgotten. :) Lesson: Just buy the ones from the store.
The kids didn't mind that the pieces weren't quite matching up though, because that just meant that they had to use more icing. Oh, and we made our own icing...obviously, since we didn't buy the kit. We mad LOTS of icing by the way. But, the important part is that the kids had fun and got a sugar high. Both of those were accomplished!

Presenting....
The Brynnley & Koyle House
The Maddi & Matthew House
Of course we had the customary picture taking of Christmas PJ's.
| Koyle was obviously less than thrilled about the idea |
| Landon was more into the wrapping paper and Kinsley was just trying to figure out what was going on |

Grandkids!
This picture was as good as it got for our family. Some things just aren't worth fighting...
And finally, the much anticipated Christmas morning! I love this picture, even though its not a very good one, because this is where, as kids, my sisters and I would wait as each of us went to the bathroom so we could all walk down the stairs together. It's a serious tradition in our house and one that we are training the younger generation up in.
And this, my friends, is the only other picture of Christmas morning. I guess I've gotten to the point where looking at pictures or videos of kids opening presents has lost its appeal. :) This particular presents from Santa has been a family favorite though! Kinsley loves this thing!
Christmas Dresses!
I really had no hope of finding matching dresses for the girls this year, so when I did find coordinating ones I was so excited!
