Girls Day Out

Today Maddi and I had a girls day out. We've been having some rough times these past few weeks and today I was watching her play and just loving being her mom. She is such a cute little girl with a very fun personality, even if it is very stubborn! I realized that never have I taken her out and done some "girly things". So, we started the afternoon off with manicures at the school. Maddi gets these done regularly, but I have never done one with her. She was so excited that mommy's nails were going to be pretty too!
Waiting to get our nails done.

Prepping for the manicure...love her color choice?!? (Its actually better than usual)

Tada! The finished product!
We then went and did some shopping. Maddi has her 3rd birthday coming up in about a month and we are doing a "My Little Pony" theme so we went to see what we could find. Unfortunately we found no decorations or cake molds. Thank heavens for the internet! I might have to get creative with this one. :) After our shopping we went and treated ourselves to some yummy hot chocolate and a delicious cupcake at "The Cocoa Bean". One of my favorite places in Rexburg!

Maddi couldn't wait to dig in!

She kept telling me "Mommy, this is yummy!"
It was a great afternoon with my little girl who is getting much too grown up. Although I must admit that by the time we were done I was so exhausted! I stopped at the grocery store and picked up a rotisserie chicken and some garlic bread for dinner. Now we plan on hanging out at home together and maybe we can even talk Ryan out of leaving the basement for a little bit tonight. :)

How fun. Justin and I saw today that they just opened a Cocoa Bean here in Provo, pretty close to where we live. We are super excited about that!
