2 weeks old

Its kind of crazy how quickly time can fly. Brynnley is two weeks old and continuing to get stronger. At her two week appointment they were still concerned with her weight. She was 5 lbs. 15 oz. then which only puts her in the 3rd percentile. I have to now supplement with a high calorie formula as well to try and get her to pack on the weight. :) Because of all this I have once again given up nursing as trying to nurse, then feeding a bottle, and then pumping is just too time consuming. Already I can tell that I'm starting to function better as I actually have time to get things done. Today we went back in for a weight check and she made it up 6 lbs. 3 oz. I was so happy, but once again it wasn't enough for the doctors. Apparently it bumped her up to almost the 4th percentile, but still not quite. I haven't heard back from the doc yet on what the plan is. Most likely I'll just be doing weight checks every couple days until she gets to where they want her. She's a very good baby though and is starting to have longer periods of being awake. I could just hold her and give her kisses all day long, but of course there are other things that must be done...

Brynnley had her pictures done at the beginning of the week and as soon as I have some to share I will. :) There were some fun shots and I can't wait to see how they all turned out!
