Last year I went to Boise for Maddi to take swimming lessons. I had two sisters teaching and since Maddi was scared of the water I figured it would help. She did pretty good, but was still pretty unsure. So this year we talked about it ahead of time. I wanted to make sure that if I went again she was going to get in and try. Through our little talks we figured out that the thing she was most scared of was getting water in her eyes. So, we got some goggles and let me tell ya...I had a completely different child in the pool this year.
This year Maddi got to take lessons with Matthew as well, which was fun. I had someone to chat with during the lessons and Maddi had a buddy in the pool. It was so much fun to watch her excitement as she did all the different things. It was pure surprise and joy each time she did something new that she hadn't thought she could do before. Being a mom can be challenging at times, but moments like those make it all worth it. Watching your child overcome a fear, try something new, and realize her ability is amazing.
These two were pretty funny together at times. Brynnley loved to go up to Koyle and put her arm around him. He usually allowed it for about 5 seconds. :)
