This year for our Ryan's family reunion we went out to Salmon, Idaho. This was the first time I had ever been out there and had no idea what to expect. We actually stayed at one of my brother-in-law's parents' house they have out there. Some stayed in the house, the rest of us camped out. It was a really pretty view right on the river. The weather was nice and it was a fun weekend.
The most interesting story to note was my experience with some mysterious bug. I wish now that I had gotten a picture of the bite, but not what I was thinking at the time. There were these weird flying bugs as well as some hornets around so we really don't know what it was that got me. I was just standing on the deck and happened to put my hand on my waist and felt something. Without thinking I pulled on it and suddenly realized that whatever it was, was attached to me! How I didn't just freak out I'm not sure, but I knew I had to get it out so I just pulled. Suddenly there was a lot of pain and then I kind of started freaking out. :) My mother-in-law says she saw something fly away, but we have no idea if that is what got me. The creepy thing is that this bug made it under at least two layers of clothing and I never felt a thing. I instantly had a bite that kind of looked like a blood blister. It took a couple weeks to completely go away and was tender the entire time, but it has completely gone away now. It was weird and then I was a little paranoid about bugs the rest of the weekend.!
